The Global Warming Summit at Bali last week saw a number of interesting events. The United States (US) said it was prepared to lead and others had better be prepared to follow, and little Papua New Guinea (PNG) replied that if they did not want to get on with the job in leading then get out of the road so that the world can get on with the job. The US is now the only country not to ratify the Kyoto Protocol after its ally Australia ratified Kyoto under the new Rudd government. China and India are also seeking more leeway in their developing economies. The agreement paved the way for the setting of levels in the new agreement of 2009.

Much of the science of the Global Warming issue is suspect and has been way off the mark ever since we published the paper Global Warming and Bible Prophecy (No. 218) in 1997. At the same time we also published the paper The Last 30 Years: The Final Struggle (No. 219) in which we laid out the commencement of the hostilities to engulf the world over the Thirty Years from 1997 to 2027. In the tape of the paper you will hear the exact dates given for the commencement of those hostilities, namely 2001. It all happened just as we said it would. Also, the Sabbath Messages show what was to happen in Iraq. It all unwound as we sadly expected.

Next week we will deal with the wars in Afghanistan, and the Central Asian republics, and in Iraq, and what we said would happen and why it happened the way it did, and what is to happen over 2008 and in 2009. We will explain what is happening to the US and its allies, and how they are being sold out by their own upper echelons.

We have been attacked ever since by a campaign of disinformation and hate to discredit us. Very few people believe that the Bible foretells future events, and that the servants of God can understand those events. The Demons understand it only too well and long to look into the things God reveals through the Church.

To date, CCG has been correct in what it has said the Bible indicates will happen. That makes a lot of people nervous and others angry. Herbert Armstrong never got anything right and was worshipped by thousands as a demi-god. Woe to you when people speak well of you for so their fathers did to the false prophets (Lk. 6:26). Christ gave us the Blessing and the Woes or Curses as the Angel of the Presence at Sinai and those are contained in Deuteronomy 28 (see the paper The Blessings and the Curses (No. 75)). He also gave us another set of Blessings and the Woes in Luke chapter 6.

Luke 6:20-49
[20] And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: "Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
[21] "Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. "Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh. [22] "Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man! [23] Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. [24] "But woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation.

Most people do not understand a nation that has become so arrogant and self-righteous that under the guise of religion and truth it has used its increasing technology to produce more hate sites and more scurrilous accusation of people than any other nation in the world. Under the guise of ‘freedom of speech’ it accuses and libels people without cause in the name of truth, using lies. This unbalanced behaviour is rotten to the core and is a reason its citizens murder one another at a rate far in excess of any other nation, except at the lowest levels of African conflict. It has gone from the wealthiest single nation in the world to the most indebted, polluting, energy-consuming nation in the world. Often it exports its corporate pollution. Its technology development is deliberately being allowed to fall behind Europe so as to cripple its production and export advantages and enslave it. None of this is accidental. It is being done to a people that seem to be sincere in seeking the truth, but its religious leaders are deceiving and misusing its wealth. Under the guise of religion its leaders delude and misuse its people, and the people seem to love to have it so. Christ says of this behaviour:

[25] "Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. "Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. [26] "Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets.
[27] "But I say to you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, [28] bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. [29] To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from him who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. [30] Give to every one who begs from you; and of him who takes away your goods do not ask them again. [31] And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. [32] "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. [33] And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. [34] And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. [35] But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. [36] Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. [37] "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; [38] give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back." [39] He also told them a parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? [40] A disciple is not above his teacher, but every one when he is fully taught will be like his teacher. [41] Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? [42] Or how can you say to your brother, `Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye. [43] "For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit; [44] for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. [45] The good man out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure produces evil; for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. [46] "Why do you call me `Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? [47] Every one who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like:
[48] he is like a man building a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built.
[49] But he who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great." (RSV)

It is this direction of Christ that is most ignored and which should underlie the reasoning behind our actions. We are all judged by what we say and what we write, and by what we do and say to and about others. There is also nothing complicated about the Laws of God. They are easy to read and understand. What is complicated is the way in which the Mysteries of God have been presented in the Bible, and without the Holy Spirit one cannot understand them. Because these Mysteries have been entrusted to the Church of God, Satan is able to garble the prophecies and misdirect those professing the Faith but who do not wish to obey the Laws of God. Understanding comes only through obedience.

The world at present is being misdirected and deluded into thinking that it is able to prevent the things that are about to happen to it because of the natural cycle of things and the ways in which God is to intervene in the affairs of men over the next twenty years.

In this section we will explain more of the facts of Global Warming and the historical basis for it, as an update to paper No. 218. Next week we will produce an explanation of what is happening between now and 2009 in world affairs, and what is happening to the United States and the British Commonwealth in their place in world affairs. The UN is aiming at a Global Warming Pact in 2009 after the election of the next US president.

Global Warming Update December 2007

In 1997, the world scientists did not have a clue as to what was happening to the world cycles. The scientists had swallowed the incoherent rubbish of Evolutionists such that they actually began to believe it as proven fact. They assumed a steady state environment for a hundred thousand years. They ignored world history and the records of the nations. They produced convenient explanations to downgrade or conceal the fact that Global Warming is a repetitive cycle that increases and reduces world sea levels by anything from seven feet or two-plus metres to two hundred feet or sixty metres. In one instance, the increases were some four hundred feet or some one hundred and thirty-two metres. We have the evidence for it, both archaeological and geological, but the scientists don’t study other disciplines and anything that conflicts with evolutionary propaganda is dismissed as a matter of policy. Logic is usually thrown out the window in such conflicts.

Studies of the Global Warm Periods would have shown, and do show, a set sequence every thousand years of the increase in world surface temperature, through the increase in solar activity. Over the last two Warm Periods, the increase in world temperatures and world sea levels were consistent at seven feet, or just over two metres. We know this from archaeological evidence and the history of peoples such as the British and the Maoris. In the Medieval Warm Period, we know – from tapestries of the late Anglo-Saxon and early Norman times – that rivers were much wider and the water levels were much higher than they are now. In the Roman Warm Period, which coincided with the rise of Ephesus as a seaport, the levels were seven feet higher than they are now. The Thames was much wider. Ephesus is now seven miles inland and its dock is seven feet higher than the port at Kusadasi. Historians explained the problem away as siltation, but to explain what happened at Ephesus it also requires tectonic plate uplift. Roman buildings in Britain show a sudden and significant drop in temperatures in the fourth century such that braziers were brought into buildings and marked floors where they had not been used previously, and the cultivation of wine in Britain ceased. The Anglo-Saxons entered Britain after the Romans withdrew, and adapted to the colder climate.

When we first interviewed scientists, the estimates were a rise of a foot in sea levels in a thousand years. It actually took less than five years. The benchmark for sea levels in NSW, Australia, is at Fort Denison in Sydney Harbour. That water level is now well over a foot higher, and increasing rapidly. The sandstone fort is going under water and requires an extensive renovation. That was only announced recently. The fort was built during the Napoleonic Wars for the defence of Sydney.

The historic evidence indicates that the warming and cooling is fast and exponential. That fact is now being born out by scientific observations, but the science is being misused to allow the control of human behaviour in spite of the known evidence. The scenario is all being set up for UN control in 2009. So also are a number of matters being set up for the European Union. These matters are to be put in train after the next US presidential election. From that time, a number of prophecies will be set in train through the activities of the demons under Satan, using his human devotees.

The current speed of the world sea-ice melt is now causing concern to scientists that do not understand the history of the matter. For example, if they studied Maori history, genetics, and linguistics they would realise that about a thousand years ago, coinciding approximately with the rise of the Medieval Warm Period, the Maori/Polynesian people – who are comprised of the Hamitic C2 Haplogroup – and a smaller section of the Indo/Malay O Haplogroup were forced out of South-East Asia into the Pacific by the inundations of an island land mass there. Their traditions record the inundation. Their C2 group does not derive from the Mongol C3 group or the Australian Aboriginal C4 group. They derive from the C Basic group, some of whom are still found in the South-East Asian Coast from India to Vietnam. Their language was based on an element of Indo/Malay and contains many basic words found in Malay. So the Polynesians were forced to move from South-East Asia by the last Global Warming in the Medieval Warm Period.

So, also, we will see many lowland peoples forced to move in the next few years. It has all happened before.

An article published this week raised concerns over the speed in which the Arctic ice sheet is melting in summer. The article titled, “Accelerating Arctic Melt Worries Experts” (AP Posted: 2007-12-11 23:00:56 Filed Under: Science News WASHINGTON (Dec. 11)) said:
“ - An already relentless melting of the Arctic greatly accelerated this summer, a warning sign that some scientists worry could mean global warming has passed an ominous tipping point. One even speculated that summer sea ice would be gone in five years.
Greenland's ice sheet melted nearly 19 billion tons more than the previous high mark, and the volume of Arctic sea ice at summer's end was half what it was just four years earlier, according to new NASA satellite data obtained by The Associated Press.”
A record 19 billion tons of Greenland’s ice sheet melted this year, some 12% more than the previous high mark, and for the first time since the end of the Medieval Warm Period some six hundred years ago opened the North West Passage to shipping. Last year two scientists surprised everyone by saying that the summer of 2040 could see the end of the sea ice entirely.

This week, after reviewing his own new data, NSA climate scientist Jay Zwally said: “At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions”.

Scientists are no longer sure of the rate (if they ever were sure of anything). This is either a blip or an exponential increase in the steady rate of warming and melt. History indicates to us that the move is much faster than these steady state climatologists thought. We know from the ancient maps that the West Antarctic Basin was ice-free less than three thousand years ago (see the Piri Reis Map in 1513 of C.H. Gordon, Before Columbus, Turnstone Press, 1972, pp. 72-73). We also know from the Norse records that in 996, when Eric the Red went to colonise Greenland, it was in what was described as two islands in summer and capable of being farmed, as reportedly was “Vinland” in Canada, when his son, Leif Eriksen, got there.

This rate of warming is being blamed on the burning of coal, oil and other fossil fuels that produce carbon dioxide, and other greenhouse gasses that are held to be responsible for man-made Global Warming. That may be an arguable case regarding the effects of man on the climate, but the current Global Warming is part of a normal sequence of warming that is solar induced and occurs every thousand years, and lasts for four or five hundred years. This time we will get the seven-foot rise and, as a result of our activities, it will rise even further. Nothing humans do will stop it rising at least seven feet. It does so each time it warms. Depending on where the polar caps are, the rise or fall can be greater. If the Earth’s magnetic core moves on to Siberia and the Antarctic basin rises, we may find that it actually drops in level. That, however, will force the North-east Asian population south and west.

Greenhouse gasses are not the cause of Global Warming. They are part of an argument put forward within the false paradigm of steady state climatology within the parameters of the Religion of Evolution.

To understand the full effects of Global Warming we need to look to the geological records of continents to see what has happened in the past. For example, in past Warm Periods, Australia has actually increased its inland rainfall and moisture level, both filling Lake Eyre for centuries and forming rain forest at Moree.

What the Bible says is to happen makes Global Warming part of a much more horrific scenario that we will examine in a wider context.

2007 was not supposed to be such a record year, but it was far greater than anyone expected. Of particular concern was the Greenland cap, which has a direct effect on world-sea water levels. For 30 years its pattern of melt has varied to a high followed by a few years of lesser temperatures and melt. 2005 was a record and so 2007 was expected to be less, but it was not and was, in fact, much higher than 2005. Konrad Steffen of the University of Colorado, who collected the data, is concerned that 2008 might be even higher. Some other NASA scientists think it might be back to normal in 2008. However, the previous Warm Periods reached a plateau in a very short time and stayed there for some four centuries.

Surface temperatures in the Arctic Ocean this year were eight degrees above normal.
The Associated Press Report listed the records set by the 2007 Arctic ice melt as follows:

”• 552 billion tons of ice melted this summer from the Greenland ice sheet, according to preliminary satellite data to be released by NASA on Wednesday. The melt was 15 percent more than the annual average summer melt, beating 2005s record.

• A record amount of surface ice was lost over Greenland this year, 12 percent more than the previous worst year, 2005, according to data the University of Colorado released Monday. That's nearly quadruple the amount that melted just 15 years ago. It's an amount of water that could cover Washington, D.C., a half-mile deep, researchers calculated.

• The surface area of summer sea ice floating in the Arctic Ocean this summer was nearly 23 percent below the previous record. The dwindling sea ice already has affected wildlife, with 6,000 walruses coming ashore in northwest Alaska in October for the first time in recorded history. Another first: the Northwest Passage was open to navigation.

• Still to be released is NASA data showing the remaining Arctic sea ice to be unusually thin, another record. That makes it more likely to melt in future summers. Combining the shrinking area covered by sea ice with the new thinness of the remaining ice, scientists calculate that the overall volume of ice is half of 2004s total.

• Alaska's frozen permafrost is warming, not quite thawing yet. But temperature measurements 66 feet deep in the frozen soil rose nearly four-tenths of a degree from 2006 to 2007, according to measurements from the University of Alaska. While that may not sound like much, "it's very significant,” said University of Alaska professor Vladimir Romanovsky. “ (ibid.)

The fact of the matter is that we are in an accelerating Global Warm Period and it will increase the melt and heat-rise by at least another degree in the next few years.

The current areas of sea ice reflect about 80% of the sun’s heat from the Earth. As it decreases, the Earth heats up even more, and the cycle increases yet again.

The scientists who are saying that they can reverse the trend do not understand the history of the matter and the natural cycles. We are just entering what we will term the Millennial Warm Period. Nothing whatsoever will stop that from happening, even if we turned off every engine on the planet. We will just make it worse.

The result will be wars over land and water and resources. Huge displacement of peoples will occur. The Earth will be faced with chaos and a regime of control will be implemented to enslave humanity. Satan understands the cycles. He knows what is to happen. He will use them to destroy humanity, but he will fail because Messiah will be sent to intervene. That intervention, however, will not save his servants in the short term. Satan and his servants will all be dealt with in the Second Resurrection (see the papers The Judgment of the Demons (No. 80) and The Resurrection of the Dead (No. 143)).
